In terms of image quality, the RF 24-105 F4 L is arguably the best zoom available with this zoom range. The Sony 24-105 F4 is close and may be better in some respects. The Nikon F-mount equivalent is not close though there is a Z-mount 24-105 on Nikon's roadmap that is likely to be very good when it is eventually released.

None of them is a clear winner from the objective point of view. And either of them can be a clear winner based on what is important for its owner. My RF 24-105 f4 is excellent. No issues. I remember in years past there would often be posts about copy variation with lenses. But today I don't hear about it much. Maybe lens manufacturing has better quality control today. In recent years I have bought the EF 100-400, RF 24-105 f4, RF 100-500, RF 35 f1.4, and they all were excellent.
